A gentle and fun approach for kids to start playing a string instrument
This class has been designed to get kids playing ukulele in a fun group environment. We are open to kids with zero experience, and kids that have already started on ukulele, who would like to continue learning to play and sing with others. Feel free to bring your uke from home, or we have plenty on hand at the studio for you to use during the classes. Students new to the ukulele can expect to learn basic chord shapes, rhythm and strumming patterns, and have fun learning a variety of songs. More experienced players will be able to learn melody and soloing skills, advanced chord shapes, and colorful strum techniques.
When: Mondays 4:00-4:45 October 28 - December 16 (No class on Nov. 25th)
Who: Children between 5 to 9 years old.
How: You may drop-in on one, or all of the classes, and you can start at anytime during the session. Each class is $20. You can register ahead of time here, or pay at the studio before class.
